  • PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy forms part of the Service Agreement & Terms and Conditions between ICAN Learning Centre (“Party 1” or “the Centre”) and the Client (“Party 2”). It explains how personal data is collected, used, protected, and retained.

1. DATA COLLECTION

  • Party 1 collects personal information from Party 2 solely for the purposes of delivering educational services. This may include, but is not limited to:

    • Full name, date of birth, and contact information of the student and/or guardian;
    • Academic records, assessment results, and learning progress data;
    • Payment and billing information; and
    • Communication records.

2. PURPOSE OF DATA USE

  • All personal data collected shall be used exclusively for the following purposes:

    • Administration and management of enrollment and scheduling;
    • Communication regarding programmes, progress reports, and updates;
    • Internal quality assessment and service improvement;
    • Marketing communications (optional — Party 2 may opt out at any time); and
    • Compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

3. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY

Party 1 commits to maintaining the strict confidentiality of all personal data provided by Party 2. Personal information shall not be sold, rented, or disclosed to any third party without the explicit written consent of Party 2, except where required by law or a competent regulatory authority.

4. TESTIMONIALS & MARKETING MATERIALS

Party 1 may use student feedback, testimonials, or anonymised performance data for marketing and promotional purposes. Party 2 may, at any time, submit a written request to opt out of such use. Party 1 will act on such requests within a reasonable period.

5. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA CONSENT

Party 1 may, from time to time, capture photographs or video footage during Centre activities for promotional or documentation purposes. Enrollment constitutes implied consent unless Party 2 submits a written objection prior to participation in any such activity.

6. DATA SECURITY & RETENTION

Party 1 shall implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Personal data shall be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by applicable law.

7. DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

  • Upon written request, Party 2 may:

    • Request access to the personal data held about them;
    • Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data; or
    • Request deletion of their personal data, subject to applicable legal limitations.

    Such requests should be submitted to the Centre’s administrative office in writing.

8. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes relating to data privacy shall be handled in accordance with applicable Indonesian data protection regulations.
